In 2000, no-one really understood the evolutionary state of the Japanese, Taiwanese or Korean Internet markets, especially in the e-manufacturing sector. The activities of this first phase provided a unique "first-take" picture of the market and eliminated much of the guesswork and hit-and-miss inefficiencies from the subsequent business implementation phases in Japan, Taiwan and Korea.
This first phase is critical to the overall success of the business development campaign and the three key results expected are:
